Darin Paul, is Gene Paul's oldest son and purchased the family business in 2013,  And continues to of provide crop insurance to farmers in the Northeast Missouri and Central Missouri as well as the Southeast Iowa areas. Darin graduated from Wyaconda C-1 in 1988.  Darin went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree from Culver-Stockton College in 1992.  Darin was employed with the State of Missouri Department of Corrections from 1994-2013, serving in many different capacities.  Darin decided it was time to join the family crop insurance business full-time in April of 2013.  Darin learned the business from his father and is progressively expanding in the Central Missouri area as well, where he has resided during the past 20 years.  Darin's specialty areas are conventional and organic farming as well as specialty crops through the Whole Farm Revenue  Plan.

Gene Paul partnered with "Toots"  Bradley in the early 1980's to form Bradley and Paul Insurance.  Providing farmers with crop insurance in Memphis and Wyaconda, Missouri.  Gene and "Toots" later decided to split the business up and Gene Paul Insurance was formed.  It remained Gene Paul Insurance until the fall of 2013 when it became Paul Insurance, LLC.  Gene has been a farmer.  Gene began his career in the insurance industry in 1975, when he became employed as a crop adjuster.  Gene continued employment as an adjuster until approximately 2000.  Gene brought a wealth of knowledge to the business as he had the unique experience of being a farmer, crop adjuster and crop insurance agent.   It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father Gene Paul 1949-2014.

Cheryl Livengood

I Was born and raised on a large farm in southern Osage County, Missouri,  on the Gasconade River.  I graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1995 with a degree in Agriculture Technology and moved to Fulton, Missouri to start my full time career with USDA-NRCS.  After working for NRCS while in college and then after college for 17 years as a Resource Conservationist, I decided I wanted more time with my family and to be able to expand our farm.  I resigned from NRCS in June 2008 and started up in crop insurance.  Since then, I have been working out of my home.

I have been married to my husband, Jim, for almost 24 years.  We have 2 sons.  Ethan, 18 and Jarrett, 15.  They attend school at South Callaway in Mokane, Missouri and both are members of the FFA Chapter and of the South Callaway Bulldogs Football Team.  We own 230 acres comprised of some cropland, pasture and woods and it is located in southern Callaway County, close to Steedman.  We run around 35 head of Balancer cows and sell all of our calves after we pre-condition them a bit after weaning.

With my long background in farming, I feel like I am able to give exceptional service to fellow farmers and I will go the extra mile to take care of my clients.  Being in the same “boat” as them allows me to see things from their prospective and I know what they are going through.
